Apple Watch Series 7 – Most Advanced Full-Screen Experience

In the California streaming event, Apple introduced its all-new Apple Watch Series 7 with a brighter full-screen design, most durability, and all health insights.

Along with the new Apple Watch, on Tuesday, Apple also announced its most powerful hardware technologies, including the new entry-level iPad, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, entirely redesigned iPad mini, and higher-end iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

More Advanced Display With Full-Screen Design

Apple Watch Series 7 takes all the great features of the Apple Watch and combines them with Apple’s largest and most advanced display ever. The new Retina display on Series 7 has nearly 20% more screen area than Series 6 and it’s an even bigger jump over Series 3 with over 50% more screen area.

The display of the Series 7 has been completely reengineered to reduce the borders to just 1.7 millimeters, which is 40% thinner than on Series 6. It is big innovation that increases the display area while almost neither changing the dimensions of the watch itself and is available in 41mm and 45mm sizes.

The entire of the new watch has also been refined, both the case and the display of Series 7 have softer and more rounded corners. The new display refracts lights at its edges for a subtle wrap-around effect that creating a seamless integration with the curvature of the case.

It is now 70% brighter indoors lighting conditions when the wrist is down, this means an always-on feature on Apple Watch now has a more recognizable look at any condition and making it easier to discreetly check the time.

Fully Optimized User Interface

Across the user interface on Series 7, buttons have been redesigned and enlarged to complement the size and shape of the new display like in Stopwatch, Activity, Alarms, making them even easier to tap. It can also fit nearly 50% more text on the screen than Series 6, which helps users to read messages and emails with a lot less scrolling.

The Apple Watch Series 7 also features new ways to input text with a full new “QWERTY” keyboard that a user can tap or slide from letter to letter with QuickPath, which uses machine learning to predict the word a user typing.

There is also a new dynamic “Contour” watch face that is designed specifically for Series 7 which animates on wrist-raise, pushing a dial right out to the edge, and a new “Modular” face leverages the extra screen area with two large data-rich center complications, and according to Apple, all of these improvements gives Series 7 the best user interface.

Most Durable

Durability, as another essential aspect of the Apple Watch, (according to Apple) Series 7 is the most durable they have ever built. It has a more crack-resistant front crystal with taking advantage of a stronger and more robust geometry.

This is also the first Apple Watch to have an IP6X certification to be freely used without worry about wearing it in dusty environments and it still has a WR50 water-resistant rating. Apple claimed that with its best-ever durability, users can take Apple Watch anywhere they want to go.

Improved Charging Experience

The Apple Watch Series 7 has all day long with 18-hours of great battery life and improved fast-charging up to 33% than Series 6. With an updated charging architecture and new fast-charging USB-C, it takes just 45 minutes to 80% charge. And 8 minutes of charging is enough for 8 hours of Sleep Tracking.

Designed With Environment in Mind

Considering the environmental impact, All aluminum Apple Watch cases are made with 100% recycled metal, all magnets in Series 7 uses 100% recycled rare earth elements, 100% recycled tungsten in the Taptic Engine, and uses 100% virgin wood from responsibly managed forests, which takes Apple closer to its goal to be completely carbon neutral in its all products by 2030.

New Apple Fitness+ Updates

Pilates is among the most popular and great body conditioning workouts like strength, core, and yoga, so, Apple bringing Pilates to Fitness+ which is terrific for improving strength and flexibility. Users will find new Pilates workouts each week with modifications for beginners as well as options for those who are more advanced.

Apple also bringing Guided Meditation to Fitness+. Each week, Guided Meditations will be available in Fitness+ where users can select from themes such as calm, gratitude, and kindness and meditate along with their favorite trainer in an immersive video experience. In the new Mindfulness app on Apple Watch, the same meditation will be uploaded in Audio format.

Apple Fitness+ introduces a new “Get Ready for Snow Season” workout program inspires by winter sports like Skiing and snowboarding. Apple designed these workouts with “Ted Ligety” who is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and a five-time world champion.

For easier shared experience, Fitness+ introduces new “Group Workouts” powered by SharePlay to working out to enjoy workouts with up to 32 other people at the same time. Group Workouts on Fitness+ is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV through AirPlay. All these latest workout features will be available later this fall.

Currently, Apple Fitness+ is available in six countries, and later this fall it will be available in fifteen new countries – Austria, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Indonesia, Mexico, Malaysia, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. All workouts would be the English language with subtitling six languages so that more people can experience the health benefits of Apple Fitness+.

Fall Detection Features

The latest watchOS 8 will detect when a user begins riding with new voice feedback through built-in Apple Watch speakers or AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones and remind a rider to start a workout.

It will automatically pause and resume if a rider stops temporarily, the new Fall Detection feature adds to watchOS 8 which detects by sensing the unique motion and impact of a hard fall while riding a bike. Also, Apple Watch now better supports e-bikes with an improved workout algorithm that more accurately calculates calories.

Apple Watch Lineup

Apple Watch Series 7 is available in a brand new five aluminum colors, including green, blue, (PRODUCT) RED, midnight, and starlight, it will be also available in silver, graphite, and gold stainless steel as well as space black titanium.

Apple Watch Nike models now feature a new graphic Sport Loop and Nike Bounce watch face as well. There is a new Apple Watch Hermes edition that features Circuit H leather with a matching watch face and an elegant new Double Tour band.

One of the great things is the latest Series 7 is compatible with all existing bands, so, users don’t need to worry about purchasing new various styles of bands if they already have them with the previous watches.

The affordable Series 3 still remain the great entry price point of $199, the considerable Apple Watch SE starts at $279, and the latest Apple Watch Series 7 starts at $399 for a Wi-Fi-only model in the aluminum case. However, the new Apple Watch will be available this fall.
