As Apple is expected to consider launching the most advanced AR product this year in a primary Apple event at the end of this year, the mass production will begin in the next few months.
Apple's first AR headset, mainly targeting professional vertical market applications, is expected to undergo EVT3 soon and enter volume production in August-September before hitting the market by the end of the year, the sources said.
Recently, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman highlighted that owing to some development issues, the launch probably shift sometime in 2023.
Digitimes also reported Apple is planning to reveal the second version of the AR/VR headset in 2023 that will be a lighter version as well as affordable.
Meaning, Apple is currently working on the development of the two AR/VR devices. The first AR/VR headset that would be worn over the eyes, focused on high-end professionals and expected to cost over $3000.
The second should be the most likely “Apple Glasses,” which will feature a form of the classic eyeglasses and represent the company’s near-future aim in the augmented reality era.
