Today, the South Korean LG Electronics officially announced that the Apple Music app is now available on the App Store of compatible LG Smart TVs.

The company said in tweet, “Get ready to turn up the volume 🔊 @AppleMusic is now on LG Smart TVs with over 90 million song streaming ad-free.”

As first spotted by 9to5Mac, starting today, Apple Music subscribers can stream their favorite playlists, library, radio stations, and more right from their compatible LG Smart TV without a requirement of connecting an Apple TV or any other set-up box.

A reliable tech publication reports that the overall user interface and experience are almost identical to how users see on tvOS in the Apple TV with positioning an elegant navigation bar at the top-middle area.

According to 9to5Mac, all Apple Music contents are properly available on eligible LG Smart TVs, including music videos, full library access as well as editorial and algorithmic playlists. Moreover, it also supports Apple Music’s real-time lyrics to let users provide an on-display full lyrics experience while streaming the music.

Though it is still unclear that which generations or models of LG Smart TVs are compatible, you can easily discover by going to the App Store on your LG TV and searching “Apple Music.”

Further details are also known that whether the Music app includes the support of the world’s most advanced audio formats – Lossless audio with Dolby Atmos. As these features mostly require really high processing power, the smart TV processors probably not be able to handle them perfectly.

If you really want the greatest music features, you should have to use the Apple TV set-up box with your smart TV to get the highest music quality experiences.
