Today, on Friday, 3rd December, Apple’s first and newest Rosenthaler Strasse retail store in Mitte, the heart of Berlin, now officially opens for walk-in customers.
The Rosenthaler Strasse joins is located near within reach of the ‘bustling Hackesche Höfe’ courtyard complex that is surrounded by art studios, design firms, some of Berlin’s memorial and historical builts and reminders.
On this special opening moment, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People, Deirdre O’Brien said,
"We’re excited to open our second store in Berlin, right in the heart of Mitte. Blending Apple’s exceptional technology and tools with the creative passion we share with this community gives us the opportunity to create something really special for our customers in Germany."
With getting entry into the store, visitors experiences uniquely designed seven-meter high floor-to-ceiling windows and towering trees as well as able to explore the range of Apple’s latest product lineup and services on the classic Apple Store-styled clean wooden tables and avenues, including Apple Fitness+ service now launched in Germany.
As a part of the Apple Rosenthaler Strasse opening, Apple also hosts Today at Apple classes with Berlin artists from illustrator collective Parallel Universe, showing their spirit by live drawing a unique take of Mitte’s creativeness on the iPad Pro.
For the future plans, Apple is looking for the expansion of Today at Apple Creative Studios in the country, which is Apple’s global initiative for underrepresented communities to provide career-building mentorship, professional industry skills training, tools, and creative resources.
Apple has been operating its business in Germany for 40 years and since 2013, with opening the first Apple Kurfürstendamm retail in Berlin, it has more than 4000 team members across retail management, engineering, and operations.
Apple Rosenthaler Strasse opens with a limited number of people, mask requirements, and social distancing considering the ongoing pandemic, and starting today, the store is officially opened for all walk-in customers, Apple Pickup, and Genius Support services as well as Shop with a Specialist.
