On Tuesday, May 24, Apple TV announced to order the brand new Spanish-language crime drama series “Las Azules,” based on the thrilling true stories.
The new eye-catching thriller story will feature “a devoted wife who discovers her true calling when she joins Mexico’s first female police force, and her entire belief system comes crashing down,” Apple describes.
Crime drama tells the story of four women who defy the ultra-conservative norms of the time and join Mexico’s first female police force, only to discover that their squad is a publicity stunt to distract the media from a brutal serial killer.
“Las Azules” is currently in pre-production in Mexico City and will feature entirely Hispanic stars, including Ariel Award nominee Bárbara Mori as Maria as the main star cast.
The new drama series is directed by Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi who both also serve as showrunners, while Wendy Riss, Erica Sanchez Su, and Billy Rovzar serve as executive producers.
