Apple Original Film “CODA” Wins BAFTA Film Awards

On Sunday, March 13, Apple TV announced that the global superhit Apple Original Film and drama series “CODA” was selected for BAFTA awards in the UK.

At the 2022 EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA), the Cupertino-based company was honored with a total of two BAFTA Film Awards or its original film “CODA.”

This is the first-ever film in history for winning BAFTA Film Awards with a Deaf cast. The Adapted Screenplay award was given to Siân Heder, while Troy Kotsur was awarded for the Supporting Actor.

The winners were declared at the special ceremony in London, the United Kingdom, in which the film actress “Emilia Jones performed a moving rendition of Joni Mitchell’s ballad “Both Sides Now,” the same song performed by her character in the film.”

By the way, Troy Kotsur becomes the first actor in history to win the award in a category. And earlier this month, the movie has won Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards.
