On August 9, Apple TV celebrated the world premiere event of the new powerful limited series — Five Days at Memorial, which is truly based on the actual events.
On Tuesday evening, at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) in Los Angeles, California, the global premiere began with honoring the film stars on the red carpet, including Vera Farmiga, Cherry Jones, Cornelius Smith Jr., Robert Pine, Julie Ann Emery, Adepero Oduye and more.
“When the floodwaters rose, power failed, and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come,” Apple describes.
The real situation-based film “Five Days at Memorial” stars Vera Farmiga, Robert Pine, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery, Cornelius Smith Jr., Adepero Oduye, Molly Hager, Michael Gaston, and W. Earl Brown.
The new limited series is written and executive produced by Academy Award winner John Ridley and Emmy Award winner Carlton Cuse who both also serve as directors alongside Wendey Stanzler.
The first three episodes of the new “Five Days at Memorial” limited series will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on August 12, one new episode will release every Friday a week through September 16.
