On Friday, July 22, Apple TV officially announced renewing its broadly acclaimed and globally superhit space drama series with For All Mankind season 4.
The latest news was announced during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con and the new season of the alternate reality series is set to begin shooting sometime around next month.
“The series presents an aspirational world where NASA astronauts, engineers, and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate history timeline — a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon,” Apple describes.
For All Mankind season 4 stars Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Jodi Balfour, Cynthy Wu, Casey Johnson, Coral Peña, Shantel VanSanten, Sonya Walger, Krys Marshall, and Edi Gathegi.
The most popular space drama series is created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi who all also write the story along with Bradley Thompson, David Weddle, and Nichole Beattie, and executive produced alongside Maril Davis, Nichole Beattie, David Weddle, and Bradley Thompson.
The third season premiered on June 10, which is “moving into the early ’90s with a high-octane race to a new planetary frontier: Mars.” However, the exact date For All Mankind season 4 is currently unclear.
