Apple will begin iPhone 14 production in India from launch

Apple is now reportedly expected to start manufacturing its upcoming new iPhone 14 from the official launch simultaneously in China and India.

According to the recent report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will be produced at least one of the forthcoming iPhone 14 models since the launch at the same time in China and India, for the first time, the company will manufacture the newest iPhone in another country at once.

This assembly responsibility is given to one of Apple’s primary suppliers Foxconn in India, which has begun the iPhone 13 production in the nation in April this year while the production also started in Brazil a few weeks ago.

The report points out that the main aim of the production outside China is not to meet global demand but to fulfill the ongoing high requirements of customers in the local markets.

Kuo also believes that manufacturing in other countries may still not be enough to solve the supply constraints in a short term in China, however, it will become a very important step forward taken by Apple to expand supply chain partners to more places.

The most recent conflict happened between the US and China since House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan. Pelosi met some of Apple’s suppliers, including TSMC and Pegatron, and they reported that China is blocking these companies’ shipments.

In these conditions, since we’re getting closer and closer to the major Apple Event for the announcement of the newest Apple products in September, the iPhone 14 production in India, Brazil, and Vietnam can help Apple to slowly reduce its dependency on China.
