On Monday, July 11, Apple officially announced to renew its globally superhit workplace comedy series with Loot season 2, starring Maya Rudolph.
“After divorcing her husband of 20 years, Molly Novak must figure out what to do with her $87 billion settlement. She decides to reengage with her charitable foundation and reconnect with the real world — finding her along the way,” Apple describes.
“Thanks to Maya, Alan, Matt, and the entire incredibly talented "Loot” cast and creative team who have created a show filled with captivating and endearing characters, and hilarious and heartwarming moments throughout each episode,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “This show has captured the hearts of global audiences, and we can’t wait for season two."
Loot season 2 brings the return of the star cast, including Maya Rudolph, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Ron Funches, Nat Faxon, and Joel Kim Booster.
The new season is created and written by Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang who both also serve as executive producers alongside Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Renfrew Behrens, and Dave Becky.
However, the premiere date of Loot season 2 critically acclaimed workplace comedy series is currently unconfirmed.
The first five episodes of season one are now streaming on Apple TV+ while one new episode of the 10-episode series will release every Friday a week.
