Apple’s streaming platform is now globally premiering new definitive documentary series of a world-changing musician, titled “Louis Armstrong’s Black & Blues.”
“The film shows how Armstrong’s own life spans the shift from the Civil War to the Civil Rights movement, and how he became a lightning rod figure in that turbulent era,” Apple describes.
Never-before-heard personal recordings and archival footage tell the story of Louis Armstrong's life from his perspective. From musical phenom to civil rights activist to world-reowned artist, this illuminatiing film shows sides of Armstrong few have seen.
The “Louis Armstrong’s Black & Blues” film is directed by Sacha Jenkins who also serves as producer alongside Sara Bernstein, Justin Wilkes, and Julie Anderson while Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Michele Anthony, and David Blackman serve as executive producers.
The latest docuseries is now available to watch on Apple’s streaming platform in the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, Xbox, PlayStation, and eligible smart TVs.
