New 27-inch iMac Pro is coming but not soon

Apple is now reportedly working on the development of the all-new 27-inch iMac Pro that would be the first Pro Mac desktop to be powered by Apple Silicon chip.

According to the recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is working on two new Mac desktop models. The first is an updated model of the current iMac, the new 24-inch iMac equipped with the M3 chip.

The second is the all-new high-end Pro Mac desktop with a larger display and M3 Pro and M3 Max chip. However, the new 27-inch iMac Pro machine is not expected to come soon. It is speculated to announce later in 2023.

Currently, there are no expectations for the M2-based 24-inch iMac and new 27-inch iMac Pro while the new Mac mini models are likely to be available with M2 and M2 Pro chips in September or October this year.

There are also strong speculations for the updated models of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro powered by M2 Pro and M2 Max chips and the new Mac Pro is expected to be available in M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme chips.

When it comes to the Mac notebook, Gurman also expects new MacBooks with the M3 series of chips, including the 13-inch MacBook as well as possibly the all-new 15-inch MacBook Air and likely the 12-inch MacBook, which are currently at the early development stage.
