On Tuesday, March 15, Apple TV announced the all-new “Midnight Family,” which is the first-ever all-Spanish-language drama and Apple Original Series.
“Midnight Family” follows Marigaby Tamayo (played by Vaca), an ambitious and gifted medical student by day, who spends her nights saving lives throughout a sprawling, contrasted, and fascinating Mexico City aboard her family’s privately-owned ambulance, Apple describes.
Along with her father Ramón (played by Cosío) and her siblings Marcus (played by Calva) and Julito (played by Bautista), Marigaby serves a population of millions by tackling extreme medical emergencies to make a living.
The new drama series is currently in production in Mexico City and will feature an entirely “Hispanic” cast that includes Joaquín Cosío, Renata Vaca, Diego Calva, Yalitza Aparicio, José María de Tavira, Óscar Jaenada, Dolores Heredia, and Mariana Gómez.
The 10-episode medical drama is created by Gibrán Portela and Julio Rojas, and written by Portela. Directed by Natalia Beristáin, while Pablo Larraín, Juan de Dios Larraín, Angela Poblete, and Mariane Hartard serves as executive producers.
However, the exact premiere date of the upcoming new “Midnight Family” Apple Original Series is currently unconfirmed. You can read more about the series in the company’s official press release.
