Apple’s streaming platform is now officially globally premiering the new highly anticipated acclaimed dark comedy series — Physical Season 2.
“Season two finds our hero Sheila Rubin (Byrne) having successfully launched her first fitness video only to encounter some new and bigger obstacles on her path,” Apple describes.
Sheila Rubin is torn between loyalty to her husband (Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire.
Physical season 2 stars Rose Byrne, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci, Rory Scovel, Paul Sparks, Dierdre Friel, and Ashley Liao alongside Critics Choice Award winner Murray Bartlett in the new role of Vinnie Green, a charismatic fitness instructor and weight-loss guru.
The new season is produced by Tomorrow Studios, created, written and executive produced by Annie Weisman, who also serves as showrunner. The series is directed and executive produced by Craig Gillespie, Stephanie Laing, and Liza Johnson. Executive produced by Becky Clements, Alexandra Cunningham, and Rose Byrne, while Rosa Handelman serves as co-executive producer.
Physical Season 2 is now available to watch on Apple’s streaming platform in the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, Xbox, PlayStation, and compatible smart TVs.
