Apple TV Reveals Schmigadoon Season 2 Musical Comedy Series

On June 10, Apple TV officially announced to renew the hit AFI Award-winning musical comedy series with Schmigadoon Season 2.

Having found true love in the town of Schmigadoon, season two of “Schmigadoon!” will find Josh (Key) and Melissa (Strong) in Schmicago, the world of ’60s and ’70s musicals, Apple describes.

In this parody of 1940s musicals, backpacking couple Melissa and Josh get trapped in Schmigadoon, a magical town filled with singing and dancing, and townspeople, learn they can't leave without finding true love — which they thought they already had.

Schmigadoon season 2 stars Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, Martin Short, and Aaron Tveit will return with Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page joining the second season.

The new season of the comedy series is co-created and written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Robert Luketic directs and executive produces alongside Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, Cinco Paul, and Barry Sonnenfeld, and Cecily Strong and Caroline Maroney serve as producers.

However, the premiere date of the Schmigadoon season 2 musical comedy series is currently unclear. You can know more about the series in the company’s official press release.
