Apple Self Service Repair Now Available for US Customers

Today, Apple officially announced making available its new Self Service Repair to let people repair their iPhones on their own currently only in the United States.

Apple’s Self Service Repair is a new program originally announced by the company in November last year, allowing customers to repair their devices by providing genuine Apple parts, tools, and repair manuals. While it is currently limited to the US, it will expand to Europe later this year.

The new online store provides over 200 individual parts and tools, making it easier for experienced customers with the complexities of repairing electronic devices now to make perfect repairs to the display, battery, and camera on all models of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, and iPhone SE (3rd-generation).

To start the Self Service Repair process, a customer will first review the repair manual for the product they want to repair by visiting support.apple.com/self-service-repair. Then, they can visit the Apple Self Service Repair Store and order the necessary parts and tools.

Apple will also make it accessible to repair Apple Silicon-powered Mac computers by providing genuine manuals, parts, and tools later this year.

You can know more about Apple’s Self Service Repair in the company’s official press release.
