Global Hit “Ted Lasso” Won Critics Choice Awards Second Year in a Row

On Sunday, March 13, the global superhit comedy “Ted Lasso” has won Critics Choice Awards second year in a row, continuously reaching the top in the category.

The most popular comedy series became the most-awarded series at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards by winning a total of four awards.

Alongside, the multi-award-winning Apple Original Film “CODA” star Troy Kotsur won the award for Best Supporting Actor and became the first Deaf actor to be honored with a Critics Choice Award and also won BAFTA Film Award for the Supporting Actor.

All the winners were announced by the Critics Choice Association at their special 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards ceremony in the evening.

After the well-like and popular first season, “Ted Lasso” season 2 has broken all the records in the industry, and as result, the comedy-drama sensation exclusively on Apple TV+ won four Critics Choice Awards this year:

  • Best Comedy Series – “Ted Lasso”
  • Best Actor in a Comedy Series – Jason Sudeikis
  • Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series – Hannah Waddingham
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series – Brett Goldstein
