Apple TV Announced New The Buccaneers Novel-Inspired Drama Series

On Thursday, June 23, Apple TV announced the new untitled drama series inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s final The Buccaneers novel.

“A group of fun-loving young American girls explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s, kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition,” Apple describes.

Sent to secure husbands and titles, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on much more than that, and saying “I do” is just the beginning...

The Buccaneers novel-inspired drama starring Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, and Mia Threapleton.

The series is written and created by Katherine Jakeways and directed by Susanna White who both are also serve as executive producers and produced by The Forge Entertainment.

The new drama series is currently in production in Scotland and there premiere date is currently unclear. You can know more about the series in the official press release.
