Elon Musk Officially Acquiring Twitter for $44 Billion

Today, the most-used micro-blogging platform officially announced that it has accept final offer from Elon Musk to aquire Twitter for $44 billion.

A few week, the world’s wealthiest person purchased 9.2% stake in the company, then Musk said to join the company’s board but ajust a day after, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal unexpedly announced that Elon would no longer be joining the board.

And after a while, Elon Musk offered to take over Twitter for $54.20 per share. Some previous suggested that Twitter’s board concerned that Musk’s offer would be undervaluing the company but today, after several speculations, the deal is finally locked for $44 billion.

As he wants to promote “free speech,” Musk said in a statement that he wants to make Twitter better than ever by “enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans.”

After a whole acquisition process has been entirely completed by all of the legal formalities, we probably see some major changes on the social networking platform, for which, Elon Musk is known since the beginning.
