Instagram Adding New “Add Yours” Sticker to Create Public Threads in Stories

On 1st November, Meta-owned most popular photo and video sharing platform added a new “Add Yours” sticker to create public threads in Instagram Stories.

The new “Add Yours” feature allows Instagrammers to respond to other users’ Stories by creating their own based on a certain topic. The new interactive sticker in Instagram Stories can be used to create a story thread where users can add their own stories on a specific subject.

Suppose, you posted your story mentioning “Recent photo you took” in the “Add Yours” sticker, and then your followers can add their own stories through a sticker.

After uploading a story content, users can access the new story sticker by tapping the sticker tool from the top navigation bar by selecting the “Add Yours” sticker to start adding a public Stories thread.

Additionally, if your followers add this sticker, you can respond to it by tapping a camera icon on the sticker and can create your own story on a specific topic to participate in the Instagram Stories thread.

Moreover, when you tap on the sticker in someone’s story, you will also be to see every user who has participated in the thread and view their Stories as well.

This new feature is primarily focused to collaborate and as a new way to gain more followers. Last month, the new feature was only available to use for Instagrammers in Japan and Indonesia for testing purposes. But now, it is started rolling out to all Instagram users.

Also, the new “Add Yours” sticker in Instagram Stories started rolling out just a few days after the company makes available the “Link Stickers” for verified users or those who have over 10,000 followers on their account.
