Instagram Moderator for Live Videos Now Available

The Meta-owned popular photo and video sharing platform Instagram officially announced the functionality to add an ” Instagram Moderator” to manage live videos.

Using the new newly-released one of the most-awaited functionality, Instagrammer can assign a moderator during live streams on the platform, which was not possible until now.

On Saturday, March 12, the company officially announced in a tweet that creators will now be able to assign an “Instagram Moderator” and give them the power to Report Comments, Remove Viewers from Live, and Turn off comments for a viewer.

Instagrammers, who want to take advantage of the new feature can access it easily by tapping the three dots icon in the comment bar and a moderator can be chosen from the list of suggested accounts, or by searching a particular account in the search bar.

According to a developer, the company had started testing the new feature in November last year and now, after a few months of testing, the “Instagram Moderator” is now available to users on both Android and iOS across the world.
