Today, the Meta-owned world’s most popular photo and video sharing platform introduced new useful features, including Profile Embed, IG Playback, and Reels Visual Replies.
On Friday, December 17, Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced new Profile Embed functionality in a video on Twitter to embed a miniature version of your Instagram profile on websites. And along with this, he also highlighted the recently released IG Playback for Stories and launched a new Reels Visual Replies.
With getting advantage of a new Profile Embed functionality, users can showcase their Instagram profiles in a small square-embedded version on third-party websites.
This is really helpful for Instagram creators and brands to show their creativity and business on the third-party platform and it seems one of the best ideas to get a sneak peek at someone’s Instagram content. However, it is currently limited to Instagrammers in the United States.
"You've been able to embed an Instagram photo or Instagram video into a website for many years now. This extends on that idea and allows you to embed a miniature version of your Instagram profile on a website," Adam Mosseri said.
The social networking platform also highlighted the already launched ‘IG Playback,’ which allows you to take your 10 favorite Stories from 2021 that you posted and share them again. Mosseri said it’s the end of the year and the New Year is the best time to reflect on the year past and think about a year coming as well as celebrate some of your favorite moments from 2021.
Reels Visual Replies
Instagram also added another new feature which lets you to reply a comment by sharing a Reels video for up to 60 seconds. Meaning, you can now respond to comment through a Reels video that will turn into a sticker. Adam Mosseri highly recommended to you use the new feature to keep engaged with your followers and continuously increase the number of them.
