Twitter Now Allows to Record GIFs from In-App Camera on iOS

On Wednesday, March 23, the world’s leading micro-blogging platform officially announced that Twitter users on iOS can record GIFs using an in-app camera.

The company has made the official announcement in a tweet from the Twitter Support account, more than just sharing GIFs, the company is now launching a new way to create animated images right within a platform.

Ok GIFs aren’t new but what *is new* is the option to capture your own using the in-app camera on iOS.

You can create your own animated image by following these steps:

  1. On the Twitter app on iOS and tap to create a new tweet.
  2. Select the Camera icon.
  3. Choose the option “GIF.”
  4. Create your GIF, then share with your followers.

Note that the new feature to capture GIFs from the in-app camera is currently accessible to users on Twitter for iOS, while Twitter for Android users will receive the functionality soon, however, the release date is still unconfirmed.

Moreover, the micro-blogging platform is also working on the development of the new “Audio Clipping” feature specifically for Spaces.
