Twitter Testing New Search Bar on Home Tab

On Tuesday, January 11, the well-liked micro-blogging platform now started the testing of a new ‘Search Bar’ at the top of the primary Home Tab on Twitter for iOS.

Yesterday, the company unveiled the new feature implementation on its official Twitter account.

Now testing on iOS: some of you will see a new search bar or Left-pointing magnifying glass icon on the Home tab to easily search Twitter right when you open the app.

Currently, the Twitter app on iPhone has a dedicated search tab at the bottom navigation bar but the social networking platform is now going to entirely transform the ability after implementing a new Tweet Composer bar.

According to Twitter, a new search bar makes the discovering experience more fast and straightforward for every user as it appears right while app opening. But as this is currently for experimental purposes, accessible to a very limited number of people as of now and it can be reverted back to the regular search tab in the future.

It is also unclear that in which group of people in the country, the company is testing the new search bar. You can also able to receive the new Twitter feature if you’re running the latest version of the app on your iOS device.

Moreover, the company announced some new changes on the platform that starting today, keywords, accounts, and other content that you have blocked on Twitter will not appear in Explore, Twitter emails, and suggestion notifications.

This new update is now rolling out to all Twitter users on iOS and Android across the world.
