Meta-owned the well-liked instant messaging platform WhatsApp is now testing an entirely new Camera UI and media uploading section.
As first spotted by WABetaInfo, in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 18.104.22.168, the company had made some notable UI design changes in the in-app camera specifically for iPhone users as of now.
For clear evidence, which indicates that WhatsApp has redesigned the switch camera icon as well as the horizontal bar to show the recent pictures from the gallery has now been replaced with a new button at the bottom left corner of the screen, which directly opens the gallery on the phone.
Since the beginning of WhatsApp years ago, we are completely used to sending media content from a horizontal media bar, which more quickly allows us to select and send photos and videos but now, it will require an additional one more tap.
The new Camera UI changes and media uploading updates are currently limited to iOS beta testers, however, it will surely be publicly released to both Android and iOS platforms in forthcoming updates.
