On Friday, 1st April, the most popular instant messaging platform is now introducing the “Forwarding Limits” as a new restriction specifically for a group chat.
According to the recent from WABetaInfo, in the latest update on WhatsApp beta for iOS, the company is started showing a new quick and short message: “Forwarded messages can only be sent to one group chat.”
It is a new restriction/limitation that has been implemented with an aim to prevent WhatsApp users from being able to send forwarded messages to more than one group chat. For clear evidence, the publication also the screenshot of the new “Forwarding Limits” feature released in order to restrain spam and misinformation.
The new “Forwarding Limits” only apply to already forwarded messages, there are currently no restrictions for sharing new messages to group chats.
This new limit is already available to certain beta testers on Android and now rolling out to more beta users on Android as well as begun available to WhatsApp beta for iOS users. It will be released for the official stable version in the upcoming weeks.
