WhatsApp Now Allows to Send Media Files Up to 2GB

The worldwide most-used instant messaging platform is working on the development to allow users to send media files up to 2GB in size at the same time.

According to the recent from WABetaInfo, in the latest update on WhatsApp beta for iOS, the company is testing a new useful feature that makes users accessible to share ever-larger size of photos and videos, which is up until now limited to 100MB.

For clear evidence, the publication also shared the screenshot of the new feature that a certain number of beta testers on WhatsApp for iOS can share media files up to 2GB.

However, the functionality to send the larger size of media files is currently limited to very few WhatsApp users on iPhone in Argentina. But it will be available for more users (including on Android) in future updates.

Moreover, the instant messaging platform is also working on the development of the new “Polls” feature specifically for groups and the “App Language” feature on iOS and Android, respectively.
