The Meta-owned well-liked instant messaging platform WhatsApp is now working on the new feature called “Polls,” specifically for Groups on iOS for now.
According to the recent report from WABetaInfo, in the latest 126.96.36.199, the company is developing something notably new feature that allows you to a poll right within your WhatsApp groups.
For clear evidence, the publication also shared a screenshot of the new feature where you can enter the question to the poll to send in a WhatsApp group. Using polls, you can straightforwardly ask a question through a poll and group members can vote the answer.
Note that this is a completely group-focused feature, so only group members can see the polls and their results and when it comes to privacy and security, this entire process is end-to-end encrypted, including the answers/results/replies.
However, as several upcoming new features on the platform, the polls on WhatsApp for iOS are also currently under development and will release in future updates.
Moreover, WhatsApp is currently also working on the development of the dedicated “Community Tab” and “Call Link” on Android.
