The most-used instant messaging platform is now working on enhancing the security of its platform by adding two-step verification.
As first reported by WABetaInfo, the company is now going to improve the security of WhatsApp accounts through the two-step verification security process.
The publication notes that when you register or log in to your WhatsApp account, you will need to enter the 6-digit PIN that will receive on your already added phone number.
As the company wants to make it easier the entire process, the new security will be first introduced on WhatsApp for Desktop, and for clear evidence, WABetaInfo shared the preview image of the new feature.
The two-step verification is the most important measure as it prevents you from being fall into the trap of the ongoing lots of WhatsApp scams and sometimes it becomes the major security issue of personal data on your WhatsApp account.
Note that as the new two-step verification feature is currently under development, it is still isn’t available for even beta testers. WhatsApp is considering making it available in the future update for beta testers on Desktop first.
