YouTube TV now updated with 5.1 Audio update on Apple TV and Fire TV devices

The video sharing platform YouTube TV is now released 5.1 Audio update for Apple TV and Fire TV hardware devices.

Today, the company officially shared the information in a tweet that compatible live, DVR, and video on-demand content on YouTube TV can now be able to take advantage of the new audio update for Apple TV and Fire TV devices.

The latest 5.1 Audio update comes with the support of surround sound and has brand names, including Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, THX (Tomlinson Holman’s eXperiment), and DTS (Digital Theater Systems).

YouTube TV users can check whether the content supports 5.1 Audio by selecting the More option in a video, going the Bug, and then the Stats for nerds.

The company also mentions that the same audio support for gaming console users will be available soon.
