Google Doodle Celebrates Nowruz 2022

Today, Doodle for Google is celebrating Nowruz 2022 for saying goodbye to the winter season, while warm welcoming and enjoying Spring 2022.

“The northern hemisphere is saying goodbye to cold, barren landscapes and hello to spring’s budding leaves and blooming flowers,” Google describes.

Millions of people around the world are enjoying the festival and outdoor activities in celebration of Nowruz 2022, which is the first day of spring and the official beginning of the Persian New Year.

Nowruz is one of the oldest holidays and has a rich history that dates back over 3,000 years. The 13-day celebration begins with the vernal equinox when the sun crosses the equator. This widely symbolizes rebirth and the affirmation of life in harmony with nature.

On this special occasion, most people follow common traditions, including house cleaning, visiting friends and neighbors, and preparing traditional dishes and sweets, including local as well as well-liked food, for which the country or province is known since the beginning.

The new special “Nowruz 2022” is now displayed on the homepage of Google in Canada, India, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
