Google Doodle Celebrates Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 Begins

Today, Doodle for Google is celebrating the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022, which is today officially begins at Bay Oval Stadium in New Zealand.

The first cricket match of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 will be played between New Zealand and West Indies that is set to live at 6:30 a.m. IST (Indian Standard Time).

No matter how heated the competition may get, cricket is highly respected for maintaining high standards of fair play and good sportsmanship. Hence the phrase “It’s just not cricket,” which describes anything considered unfair.

The world’s first-ever international cricket match was played in 1844 between Canada and the United States, while the first women’s World Cup tournament was held in 1973, also won by this year’s defending champions, England. This year, eight teams from around the world will compete for tournament victory. 

The new special “Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022” Doodle is displayed on the home page of Google in India, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, and South Africa.
