Last week, Apple released the official stable version of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 that includes a new feature in the Notes app called “Scan Text.”
The new “Scan Text” is mainly added to the Notes app for quickly scanning handwritten or printed text into the Notes app on the iPhone and iPad.
A few days ago, Apple Support has also shared a dedicated short video explaining how the newest useful feature works.
How to Use “Scan Text” in the Notes App?
- Open the Notes app on iPhone or iPad running on iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4 (or later).
- Tap the camera icon, then tap “Scan Text.”
- Tap the insert button once the text has been added to the note.
The new shortcut has also been included in the Reminders app. On prior versions of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, the ability to scan text into the Notes app must require tapping on a note’s text field and tapping the Live Text icon.
Along with this, Apple has added multiple new and useful features with iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4, including Face ID with a Mask on iPhone 12 lineup and above, Universal Control for eligible iPad and Mac models, new Siri voice, and much more.
