JioPhone Next: Ultra-Affordable Android Smartphone Officially Launched in India

On Thursday, November 4, the most-awaited ultra-affordable and budget-centric Android smartphone, JioPhone Next made in partnership with Google, officially launched in India.

The world’s biggest search engine giant “Google” and India’s number one telecommunications company “Jio,” operated by Reliance Industries unveiled JioPhone Next made only for Indian consumers and manufactured in Tirupati, Andra Pradesh.

The all-new ultra-affordable smartphone running on Pragati OS, an extremely optimized Android-based operating system that includes many customized and essential features, including the functionality to translate text on the screen in up to 10 Indian languages.

For this special JioPhone Next launch in India’s biggest festival, Mukesh Ambani said:

I believe, in the next 20 years, as a human civilisation, we will collectively achieve more than what has been achieved in the last 300 years. We are at the beginning of new era.

With the primary help of Jio, Google is aiming to provide ahead of 2G technology to a maximum of 300 million Indian users with an entry-level and budget-centric smartphone and faster networks.

Last month, a chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani said in a statement:

"I have always been a firm believer in the power of the Digital Revolution. In the past, the company has enriched, enabled, and empowered the lives of 1.35 billion Indians with connectivity. Now, it is doing the same thing but with a smartphone device."
Pricing and Availability

The JioPhone Next will be available in the Indian market at the actual cost of ₹6,499 and if you choose equated monthly installments (EMIs), then you have to pay first ₹2,000 and ₹300 (in the base plan) per monthly installment.

If you are interested in purchasing, you can register your new ultra-affordable smartphone from Jio’s official website. However, the exact availability date is still unclear.
