Samsung Unfliped Brand New Galaxy Z Flip 3

The South Korean tech giant Samsung officially introduced its brand new flagship Galaxy Z Flip 3 at the virtual Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on 11th August.

Along with Z Flip 3, Samsung also introduced a stunning new flagship foldable device – Galaxy Z Fold 3 as well as new Galaxy Buds 2 wireless earbuds and Galaxy Watch 4 Series.

Now, let’s look at the beauty and performance specifications of the latest flagship Galaxy Flip 3. So, here are all the major details about the next-generation brand new Flip device from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 – All Major Details

This year, Samsung features a 6.7-inch Full HD+Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex main inner display, which is the same display size as its predecessor – Galaxy Z Flip. But the major improvement is that now it has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a pixel resolution of 425 PPI (Pixel Per Inch).

One of the major upgrades of Galaxy Z Flip 3 is that now it has a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED cover display with a pixel resolution of 303 PPI, whereas its predecessor Galaxy Z Flip has a comparatively smaller 1.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 302 PPI.

As the Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 is now a more durable device featuring a new tougher Gorilla Glass Victus protective display made from a stretchable PET (polyethylene terephthalate) material which makes the main inner display 80% more durable than the previous model, according to Samsung.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 has a dual rear camera setup on the back that includes a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 12MP wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is protected by Super Clear Corning Gorilla Glass with DX.

It has a 10MP front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The cameras of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 are the same as its predecessor — Galaxy Z Flip. All the new Flip device cameras feature HDR10+ video recording, up to 10X digital zoom, and VDIS (Video Digital Image Stabilization).

The latest Flip from Samsung has a more durable design with stronger aluminum sides and for the first time, the Flip smartphone features an IPX8 dust and water-resistant rating.

Internal Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor and the latest 5G (sub6 and mmWave) network technology as its “bigger brother” Galaxy Z Fold 3 and runs on Android 11 out of the box, it also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound technology.

The new Flip is packed with a 3300 mAh battery capacity that supports 15W wired fast charging, 10W wireless fast charging but unfortunately, Flip 3 doesn’t have compatibility with reverse wireless charging as Fold 3.

Colors, RAM, and Storage Configuration

The Flip 3 has only an 8GB RAM option and 128GB or 256GB storage configuration and because of the lack of an SD Card slot, you can’t be able to expand the storage that is also a little drawback for some users who want more space on their smartphones.

It is available in four essential colors – Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender, and three Samsung exclusive colors – Grey, White, and Pink and weighs 183 grams.

Pricing and Availability

Because the Flip 3 is smaller and has some fewer features, there is a far difference between the pricing of Fold 3 and Flip 3. The new Flip costs $999, whereas the Fold 3 is available at $1799. The pre-orders of both of the devices are already started from August 11 but the availability will first begin from some selected countries such as the United States, Europe, and Korea.
