Apple TV Confirmed to Release New “Dear Edward” Drama Series

Apple TV has officially revealed that the best-selling novel and the new Apple Original “Dear Edward” drama series is confirmed to be available on Apple TV+.

The new series on Apple’s video streaming service is a heartbreaking, life-affirming, and uplifting story about survival, resilience, connection, and the examination of what makes us human.

"Dear Edward" tells the story of Edward Adler (played by O’Brien), a 12-year-old boy who survives a devastating commercial plane crash that kills every other passenger on the flight, including his family. As Edward and a diverse ensemble of others affected by the tragedy try to make sense of life after the crash, unexpected friendships, romances and communities are formed.

All-new Apple Original drama series will be written, showrun and executive produced by Jason Katims and marks the first series order to hail from his overall deal with Apple TV+.

The best-selling novel-based series starring Emmy Award nominee Connie Britton, Katims, Britton, Taylor Schilling, Colin O’Brien, and Fisher Stevens who is set to direct the first-ever episode and serve as executive producer in the project.

Based on the novel by Ann Napolitano, “Dear Edward” drama series has a total of 10 episodes. However, the confirmed premiere date of the all-new Apple TV+ series is still unclear.

Moreover, Apple TV has recently confirmed the release date of the “Now and Then” thriller series, the highly-anticipated “Pachinko” drama, “Luck” animation story as well as released the official trailer of a new “Pretzel and the Puppies” animated series.
