Apple Released iOS 15.6 Beta 2 – Here’s What’s New? [Update: Public Beta]

Today, Apple released iOS 15.6 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15.6 Beta 2 to all developers with the aim of testing purposes several after releasing the stable iOS 15.5.

Update (June 1, 2022): This update is now also available to beta testers.

The new iOS 15.6 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15.6 Beta 2 updates come with a new build number 19G5037d. This is an over-the-air update and is available to download for eligible iPhone and iPad users across the world who installed the developer beta profile on their iPhones and iPads from Apple Developer Center.

As Apple already released all of the new features of its latest operating systems, Apple currently hasn’t mentioned any fixes for general issues and/or serious privacy and security vulnerabilities.

The official release notes only include a known issue “Xcode 13.4 is unable to prepare iOS 15.6 beta devices for development” and suggests a workaround: “Use Xcode 13.3.1.”

Along with iOS 15.6 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15.6 Beta 2, Apple also released watchOS 8.7 Beta 2, macOS Monterey 12.5 Beta 2, and tvOS 15.6 Beta 2.
