Apple released iOS 15.6 for everyone – here’s what’s new?

Today, Apple released the official stable version of iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 to everyone after over a month of releasing iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5.

The new iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 updates come with a new build number 19G71. This is an over-the-air update and is available to download for all eligible iPhone and iPad users across the world.

According to the release notes, the new update comes with addressing privacy and security issues as well as under-the-hood bug fixes and performance improvements rather than any major new feature.

Currently, there is only one known issue, “the iOS device that initiates pairing needs to be logged in to the same iCloud account as the home hub. Only the owner of a home, not an invited user, can pair Matter accessories” that will be fixed the future updates.

Along with iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6, Apple also released the official stable versions of watchOS 8.7, macOS Monterey 12.5, and tvOS 15.6.

As Apple is already testing its newest iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 with a developer and public beta testers, the stable updates will release in September in the special Apple Event.
