Apple released iOS 16.1 Beta 5 – Here’s What’s New?

Today, Apple released iOS 16.1 Beta 5 to developers with the aim of testing purposes a week after releasing the third beta update.

The new iOS 16.1 Beta 5 comes with a new build number 20B5072b. This is an over-the-air update and is available to download for eligible iPhone and iPad users across the world who installed the developer beta profile on their iPhones and iPads from Apple Developer Center.

  • A new Modem update to fix some network-related issues
  • A few wording changes while recording a Workout in the Fitness app
  • A pop up displays if you create 200 custom Lock Screens — “To create a new Wallpaper, you need to delete one first.”

However, it is highly recommended to download on the secondary device as there may have some major issues or security vulnerabilities or inaccuracies.

Along with this, Apple also released the fifth developer beta update for tvOS 16.1 as well as iPadOS 16 Beta 12 and macOS Ventura Beta 11.
