Apple released iOS 16.1 RC – Here’s what’s new?

Today, Apple released iOS 16.1 RC to developers, which is almost the final version before the official stable update is publicly released.

The new iOS 16.1 RC comes with a new build number 20B79. This is an over-the-air update and is available to download for eligible iPhone and iPad users across the world who installed the developer or public beta profile on their iPhones and iPads from Apple Developer Center or Apple Beta Software Program.

iOS 16.1 includes some major bug fixes as well as includes notable new and useful features, including Reachability support for the iPhone 14 Pro models, a Visual Battery Indicator, Lock Screen Charging Indicator, and much more.

Along with iOS 16.1 RC, Apple also released the release candidate update for iPadOS 16.1, macOS 13, watchOS 9.1, tvOS 16.1 as well as iOS 15.7.1 and iPadOS 15.7.1.
