On Wednesday, September 7, Apple released iOS 16 RC to developers for testing purposes a week after releasing the eight beta update.
The new iOS 16 RC comes with a new build number 20A362. This is an over-the-air update and is available to download for eligible iPhone and iPad users across the world who installed the developer beta profile on their iPhones and iPads from Apple Developer Center.
iOS 16 is now ready to release publicly as all the new features, including new Wallpaper Gallery, Battery Percentage Indicator, more customizations for Focus mode, and so much more now fully implemented.
This is the last update before the final release as Apple officially confirmed that iOS 16 stable version will be publicly available on September 12.
Along with iOS 16 RC, Apple also released the release candidate versions of watchOS 9, macOS 13tvOS 16, iOS 15.7, and iPadOS 15.7, as well as macOS 12.6 Beta 6.
